The Escape Room was created as an internal project, part R&D and part fun. You find yourself in a lobby, locked in, with no way out. To escape you need to find the clues, find the missing items and stop the alarm. Can you escape in 2 minutes?
The Escape Room utilizes your existing knowledge of how to navigate 3D spaces. We have created two camera modes that can be found in the Settings: Natural (typical of 3D applications) or 360 (typical of 360 videos and Google street view). Try them both and see which you prefer.
Developed for desktop and most mobile devices using Safari or Chrome browsers.
Our goals for this project were to improve render quality, camera navigation and create a sequential learning scenario with minimal instruction.
- Sequential steps to complete a task that promotes a learning experience
- Raycast navigation with camera vectoring and auto-leveling
-
Scene optimization:
- 134,253 triangles
- 44 textures
- 0 lights
- 0 post-processing effects
- Improved JavaScript integration
- New scene loading and replacement methodology
- Updated production development pipeline
